Older Medicare patients with low back pain and other medical issues paid less and had shorter episodes of back pain when they received chiropractic care only. Highest out of pocket costs and longest lengths of care were seen with medical care only, followed by the combination of medical and chiropractic care. Chiropractic care is a safe, effective and cost-effective treatment option for musculoskeletal pain.
